Breakfast. Visit of the impressive Hassan II mosque (minaret 200 m high, nave with sunroof). Departure to Rabat and .Visit of the administrative capital of Morocco: royal palace (Outside), Romantic ruins of the necropolis of Chellah, kasbah Oudaïa, Hassan tower, Mohamed V Mausoleum. DAY 3: MEKNÈS – EXCURSION TO VOLUBILIS AND MOULAY IDRISS / FES.
Breakfast .Visit of the archaeological site of Volubilis, ancient Roman city: the Gallien baths, the forum, the Capitol, the basilica, the triumphal arch and villas that still have well preserved mosaics. Continue to the holy city of Moulay Idriss, perched on a rocky promontory. Then visit of Meknes, the ancient capital of Moulay Ismail (contemporary of Louis XIV), protected by its monumental gates (Bab El-Khemis and Bab Mansour): El-Hedim square, Moulay Ismail Mausoleum , remains of granaries. Departure for Fez. Accommodation .
4th DAY: FES.
Breakfast. Day devoted to the religious capital of Morocco. Panoramic view of this splendid site from Borj Sud or Borj Nord. Then, visits: Fez el-Jdid and its mellah (old Jewish quarter), doors of the Royal Palace. Discovery of the unique atmosphere of the medina of Fez el-Bali: madrasas Bou-Inania or Attarine (subject, a madrassah can always be closed), Islamic University Karaouiyine (Outside.), Nejjarine Fountain, souks –Tanneries , Wool Dyers … .Accommodation.
DAY 5: FES / MIDELT.
Breakfast . Road through the Middle Atlas via the weather station of Ifrane (1 650 m alt.), The Berber city of Azrou, until Midelt .Accommodation .
DAY 6: MIDELT / ERRACHIDIA / ERFOUD / MERZOUGA.
Breakfast. Pass through the Ziz Gorge before arriving at Errachidia. Continue to Erfoud, along the Ziz valley and its palm groves.Arrival to ERFOUD. Departure by 4X4 departure to Merzouga. Dinner and Accommodation under nomad tents at the foot of the Sand Dunes.
DAY 7: ERFOUD / TINERHIR.
Breakfast – Return to Erfoud by 4X4. Next, drive to Tineghir. Road offering beautiful views of the region and khettara (irrigation systems). In Lalla Mimouna, visit the Sources museum for a glimpse of Berber culture. Then, arrived at Tinerhir, former ksar of the Todra Valley, neighbor of the old kasbah of Glaoui. Visit of the spectacular Todra Gorge (free walk).Accommodation at the hotel.
DAY 8: TINERHIR / THE VALLEY OF DADES / OUARZAZATE.
After breakfast ,departure to Boumalne and road to the entrance of the Dades gorges. Continuation through the valley; passing El Kelaa Mgouna , where the Moussem des Roses is celebrated every year, and in the palm grove of Skoura, before reaching Ouarzazate. Visit of Taourirt Kasbah then excursion to Ksar Ait Benhaddou, backed by the mountain.Accommodation.
DAY 9: OUARZAZATE – EXCURSION IN THE VALLEY OF THE DRÂA.
Breakfast .Excursion to Zagora through the valley of Drâa that line palm groves and ksour. In Zagora, visit the Museum of Arts and Traditions: discovery of Berber culture and desert.Back to Ouarzazate .Accommodation.
DAY 10: OUARZAZATE / MARRAKECH.
Breakfast .Drive via the Tichka Pass (2,260 m above sea level) to Marrakech, the old Moroccan capital, which deploys its walls facing the snows of the Atlas. Upon arrival, start sightseeing of the city founded in the 11th century. by the Almoravids: famous minaret of Koutoubia, witness of Hispano-Moorish art; the Magic Djemaa el-Fna square, a real “theater” in full activity; alleys of the medina; ramparts …Accommodation.
DAY 11: MARRAKECH.
After Breakfast , continuation of Marrakech tour : Bahia Palace and its garden planted with orange, cypress, jasmine …; Saadian tombs where are buried the members of the Saadian dynasty. Cross of the Medina and its colourful souks. Accommodation .
DAY 12: MARRAKECH / ESSAOUIRA.
Breakfast .Departure to the seaside city of Essaouira, the old Mogador, becoming a seaside resort always rich in its heritage. In the visits: the port and its Portuguese fortifications, the sqala of the kasbah (old battery where are grouped the marquetry workshops) .The Medina and its Jewish quarter. Accommodation.
DAY 13: ESSAOUIRA / SAFI / EL JADIDA / CASABLANCA.
Breakfast. Departure to Casablanca. Stop at Safi, an important Moroccan port since the 12th century. (Portuguese chapel). Then, visit the cistern of El Jadida, formerly Portuguese city called “ Mazagan”. Arrival in Casablanca, port and large economic and center.Accommodation.
14TH DAY: DEPARTURE .
